Magician uses Rubik's cube to get out of speeding ticket

A magician has used his incredible speed in solving a Rubik's cube as a means of convincing a policeman not to give him a speeding ticket.

US magician Steve Brundage solved the puzzle in 20 seconds as one of the officers filmed last Friday, the pair astonished by his quick hands.

But when Brundage told them he could solve the cube in just one second, they were understandably sceptical.

"I told the cop I was coming from a Holiday Party in NYC," Brundage wrote on YouTube.

"He asked why I had all the cards in my car and I told him I was a magician.

"He then asked me to show him a magic trick.

"I’m glad to say I left without a ticket."

The official record for solving a Rubiks cube is 5.55 seconds, meaning Brundage's sleight-of-hand likely involved his magician's skills somehow.
