Kimberly Guilfoyle begged Trump donor to pay her credit card bill
Donald Trump Jr’s ex-fiancee begged a prominent Trump donor to pay her $140,000 credit card bill in a series of text messages just before she was appointed the US Ambassador to Greece.
The Wall Street Journal reported Kimberly Guilfoyle texted wealthy Kentucky lawyer Eric Deters asking for the money.

Guilfoyle sent a PDF with instructions of how to pay the bill to American Express.
"Honey please I need you to get this done for me today," she wrote on July 3 last year.
"You could just send it here."
Deters told Guilfoyle that if he sent her the money it would cost him his marriage.
Days later, Guilfoyle was confirmed as the US ambassador to Greece, a role she still holds.
Engaged to Trump Jr for three years, Guilfoyle was a prominent advocate for the president and a high profile member of the family.
Before her relationship to Trump Jr, she was married to now-California Governor Gavin Newsom until their split in 2006.
Trump Jr married a different woman earlier this year.
Guilfoyle is now under scrutiny over her connection to lobbyist Christos Marafatsos.

The Wall Street Journal reported Guilfoyle brought Marafatsos to so many meetings that foreign officials thought he was her chief-of-staff.
In her capacity as ambassador to Greece, Guilfoyle has been advocating for energy projects for Marafatsos's company.
This included meetings with Bulgarian and Albanian political leaders pushing for gas projects.
Marafatsos's company is a major Greek construction and energy business.
“If these reports are accurate, Ambassador Guilfoyle is unfit to represent the United States abroad and should be removed from her position,” top Democratic Congressman Gregory Meeks wrote in a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Meanwhile, the US president has revealed he only pardoned a different congressman in the expectation that he would switch parties.
Trump issued a pardon to Henry Cuellar after he was indicted for money laundering, bribery and conspiracy charges.
"I thought there would be a good chance that Cuellar, who was persecuted by Democrats because they didn’t like him, would have routinely gone over to the Republican Party — The people that saved him from years in prison," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

"Shockingly, Cuellar announced, only a few days later, that he is going to remain a Dumocrat.
"Many considered this to be a tremendous act of disloyalty, and certainly, showed him to be an extremely ungrateful person."
His lengthy Truth Social post continued to tear into Cuellar.
"Henry Cuellar is a LOSER who, right now, should be serving a longterm jail sentence with his wife in a top level penitentiary," Trump said.
The post sang the praises of Cuellar's Republican opponent Tano Tijerina.
"Tano Tijerina, on the other hand, loves Loredo, and all of South Texas but, most importantly, he truly loves the United States of America," Trump said.
There is no such place as Loredo in the US, but Laredo is the largest city in Cuellar’s district.
