Instant karma undoes road rage driver

An angry US driver has suffered a hefty dose of instant karma, crashing his ute moments after giving another driver the finger.

A Florida woman began filming on her mobile phone when she was tailgated by the man’s ute while driving on a highway in Tampa on Monday.

"This pathetic excuse for a human being tailgated me for about three minutes," the unnamed woman wrote on YouTube.

"After about a minute, and me shaking my head, I pulled out my phone and started recording."

The woman said there were trucks in the other lane preventing her from merging, and she was not going to speed on a rainy day.

Eventually the man overtakes her, giving her the finger in the process, only to crash seconds later.

As he swerves in front of her, his ute fishtails across several lanes and he crashes into the verge, knocking over a pole in the process.

"That's what you get," the woman shouts at him while laughing.

"He initially fled the scene of the accident, but thanks to this video he has been caught and charged," the woman wrote on YouTube.

"This moron could have easily killed somebody with his moronic behavior, and my laughing at the end would have been replaced with tears."

In just a day the video has received nearly 900,000 views on YouTube.
