One of the woman accusing comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault has met with Los Angeles Police officers to discuss filing charges.

Model Chloe Goins and her lawyer met with investigators at LAPD headquarters on Wednesday for two hours to discuss whether her charge was applicable under Californian law, TMZ reports.

Goins alleges Cosby sexually assaulted her in 2008 when he took her to the Playboy Mansion and slipped a drug into her drink.

The model said she woke up in a bed with Cosby licking her toes and masturbating.

However, under Californian law there is a six-year statute of limitations on allegations of sexual assault except for rape.

Goins has not publically confirmed the exact nature of the alleged assault but in December she stated she did not believe she was "raped or molested" which could end her case.

Her opportunity to press charges for a sexual assault offence other than rape reportedly ran out mid last year.
