US woman begs 'Mad Pooper' to stop answering nature's call outside her home

Colorado police are on the hunt for a mystery jogger who has earned the nickname "the Mad Pooper" after repeatedly defecating outside a family's home.

Despite there being public toilets nearby, Cathy Budde told the BBC the woman has left waste in front of her house about seven times in the past few weeks.

She even claims her children have caught the jogger in the act.

Colorado police told the BBC the suspect could be charged under a city ordinance banning public urination or defecation.

According to news station KKTV, Mrs Budde isn't taking this lying down and has confronted the woman.

"So I come outside, and I'm like, 'Are you serious?' Are you really taking a poop right here in front of my kids?' She's like, 'Yeah, sorry!'

"I thought for sure she's mortified, it's an accident, she'll go get a dog bag, clean it up and never run here again. Not the case."

Mrs Budde said they have caught the runner twice more and she has even put up a sign begging her to stop.

However, Mrs Budde claims nothing seems to be deterring "the Mad Pooper".
