Cicada flies through open car window causing driver to crash
A cicada flying through the window of a moving car has caused a car accident in the United States.
Police said a cicada is responsible for the single-car crash in Cincinnati's East End neighbourhood yesterday about 6.30pm.
The insect hit the driver in the face, causing him to serve and crash, according to Cincinnati police.

He was forced to drive off the roadway and slammed into a nearby pole.
There driver is understood to have suffered minor injuries.

The bungle tied up traffic on Riverside Drive where the accident happened.
Cicadas are known to show in up in the billions in the area with their notorious mating song.
