Chicago man runs along motorway with his pants down

It is hard to outrun police on foot, but a Chicago man discovered it is even harder when your pants are down around your ankles.

After numerous calls from motorists in the early hours of Tuesday morning Illinois State Police found a man walking down a motorway on foot.

As they approached him he unsuccessfully attempted to climb over a safety barrier causing his pants to fall down.

But that didn't deter the man who tried hobble away as police and local transport workers chased him.

It didn't take long for the pant-less assailant to trip and fall.

The man was identified as 39-year old Anthony Allen and he told police he was schizophrenic and had not taken his medication, ABC7 reports.
