Air Force fighter jet crashes into building in the US
An Air Force fighter jet has crashed into a commercial building in the US after its engine failed.
The F-16 fighter was out on a routine training missing when its hydraulics failed causing it to smashed into a building near March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, California, the LA Times reports.
“It looked like a bomb had gone off in the building,” Ty Stanonis told Fox11 of witnessing the crash.

Stanonis was in his car a nearby freeway when the plane dropped into the building.
The crash happened about 3.45pm US time, March Air Reserve Base Deputy Fire Chief Timothy Holliday told the news outlet.
Holliday said the pilot reported the hydraulic problem and said he was returning to base.
The pilot ejected from the craft before impact. The pilot was taken to hospital for monitoring.
Three people, who were on the ground at the time of the crash, suffered minor injuries. They were treated at the scene.
The freeway was closed in both directions after the crash.
