British police seek wheelchair-using thieves

A pair of British thieves accused of faking a disability to perpetrate petty thefts is being sought after they were captured on CCTV using a wheelchair to hide goods in a supermarket stealing spree.

The two can be seen perusing the products, with the male suspect pushing the woman in a wheelchair.

She points out items that she would like, and he selects them for her.

But then, the woman stands up, apparently able to walk without trouble, and she and her partner in crime load her coat and backpack with food items before leaving the store.

Police are now hunting the two, who are suspected of stealing more than $100 worth of goods from shops in Coventry, in the south of England.
