A group of adrenalin junkies have made the most out of the wild weather that's lashing parts of the UK – by turning a flooded carpark into their own personal wakeboarding playground.

The pair, professional wakeboarder Jorge Gill, 18 and wakeboarding coach Jack Hammersley, 24, decided to take advantage of the Bedford Street Car Park after spotting the unused space.

With no room for a boat – the two were forced to improvise with a Red Bull winch pulley system from their friend Nick Mangos, 27, which worked to pull the boarders at break-neck speeds.

The pair was careful to test out their plan in private – and waited until nightfall before hopping on their boards.

Then, there was no stopping them.

Footage of the ingenious system shows the pair weaving precariously around several pillars in the 60 centimetre deep water as they're winched along by the machine.

Later, the pair took their daredevil stunt to nearby Shalford Park where they suffered a few tumbles.

"Jack came out of the water at one point and fell face first into the bank," explained Mr Mangos to the MailOnline.

"He was alright though."
