Convicted pedophile Rolf Harris has reportedly been moved to a different UK jail after inmates repeatedly attacked and abused him.
The 84-year-old entertainer, serving nearly six years at HMP Bullingdon after being found guilty of abusing four young girls, was moved after authorities feared for his safety, The Sun reports.
Harris was reportedly given a job tending to the prison garden, infuriating other inmates who felt he was receiving preferential treatment.
“[Other prisoners] were keen to take him down a peg or two,” a source told the paper.
“He was moved to another prison for his own safety about two weeks ago.”
The source said he had been moved to Stafford jail, a Category C prison for adult males.
In August, Harris was at the centre of a prison brawl after an inmate spat at him.
He was unharmed in the incident.
He reportedly has been sketching caricatures of fellow inmates for free, while his offering of chocolate bars earned him the nickname of ‘Willy Wonka’.
Harris was convicted on June 30 of 12 counts of indecent assault that occurred between 1968 and 1986 against four female victims, the youngest only seven years old at the time.
