Richard Dawkins reads out his hate mail

Evolutionary biologist and proud atheist Professor Richard Dawkins, who has divided opinion for decades by challenging creationism and Christianity, has revealed the extent of the hate-mail he receives.

The intellectual has released a video in which he good-naturedly reads out the correspondence, appearing to take it all in his stride — even when he is called a "f-----, antichrist, a masonic c—t and Satanic dog".

"I'm sick of hearing about you and your theory of evolution. You may have evolved from monkeys but leave me out of it," Dawkins reads.

"Have you ever tried to make love to a monkey? I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if you had since sodomites are running all our universities but either way I hope you do get sodomised by Satanic monkeys in hell. Yours sincerely a created daughter of our Lord.

Another letter starts with the line, "Ha ha bitch. No, you are not an atheist, you are a gaytheist. LOL LOL," Dawkins reads.

"They should call you Richard Dickens because you're so busy s---ing off Bill Maher and those Labor Party dipshits".

Professor Dawkins said the regular torrent of abuse does nothing to harm his self-esteem, saying he just finds it "rather fun".
