One of the world's top chefs found dead at home in Switzerland

One of the world's top chefs has been found dead after an apparent suicide at his home in Switzerland.
Benoit Violier, whose three Michelin-starred restaurant in Lausanne was recently named the world's best, was found in his home in Crissier late on Sunday afternoon, police said in a statement.
The French-born 44-year-old appeared to have shot himself, the BBC reports, although an investigation has been opened to determine the exact cause of death.
Mr Violer had been due to attend the launch of a new Michelin guide on Monday, Swiss news website 24 Heures reported.
His establishment, the Restaurant de l'Hotel de Ville, served dishes such as saddle of Pyrenean young lamb and crispy Landes duck foie gras.
Last year a French government-sponsored list ranked it first among the world's top 1000 restaurants.
