Former Concorde pilot, who once flew the Queen, found dead alongside wife in suspected murder-suicide
A retired Concorde pilot who once flew the Queen has been found dead alongside his wife in a suspected murder-suicide.
The bodies of Tony Meadows, 84, and his wife Paula were found at their UK home in Bucklebury, Berkshire on Tuesday evening.
The home is just a few kilometres from where Michael and Carole Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge's parents, live.

Thames Valley Police said they were not looking for any other suspects over the deaths. PA/AAP
Thames Valley Police said it had launched a murder investigation but no one else was being sought over the deaths.
"Officers were called to a property in Pot Kiln Lane, Bucklebury," police said in a statement.
"Officers discovered that a woman and a man, both in their 80s, had died.
"Their next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers."

The cause of the couple's deaths has not yet been revealed.
As a British Airways pilot, Meadows was part of the crew on-board the inaugural Concorde passenger flight between London and New York in 1977.
Meadows later flew a number of royal guests on the supersonic jet, including taking the Queen to Bahrain in 1979.
Princess Diana also travelled on a Concorde piloted by Meadows.
The BBC reported Meadows had told the broadcaster in an earlier interview he had flown Concorde for 14 years.

A neighbour told the BBC the couple's three children were "devastated".
"They can't understand it," the woman, who declined to be named, said.
"They haven't been able to get their minds around it really.
"Paula has dementia so she hadn't been very well for quite a while.
"But Tony always took care of her and looked after her very well, and took her for walks.
"He was a very caring person, very friendly."

Concorde, a French-British supersonic passenger jet, flew between 1976 and 2003 and had a maximum speed of more than twice the speed of sound.
It was retired three years after the 2000 crash of Air France Flight 4590, which killed all 109 people on board and another four in a nearby hotel struck by the plane.
