Fisherman's quick reflexes save baby in speeding pram from falling into ditch

A Turkish man has been praised for his heroics and agility after he stopped an out of control pram with a toddler inside from falling into a deep ditch.

The dramatic scenes unfolded in Bodrum Golturkbuku on the northern tip of Turkey's Bodrum peninsula on Wednesday, local media reports.

Security camera footage of the dramatic save shows a fisherman walking down a quiet street and speaking on his mobile when he appears to hear calls for help and quickly turns around and starts running.

As quick as lightning the man steadies himself and deftly intercepts a stroller speeding down a steep hill and into the middle of the road.

However, as the fisherman stops the pram a two-year goes flying out and slides along the ground stopping right on the edge of a deep ditch.

Surprisingly the toddler escaped the near-fatal accident unscathed.
