Man arrested for run after missed plane

A man has been arrested for chasing a plane at an airport after missing his flight.

He was apprehended on Thursday after pursuing the Ryanair flight at Dublin Airport.

It is understood that the man, in his 20s, and another woman were late for the Ryanair flight to Amsterdam.

When talking to staff at the gate the man broke through the door and began running toward the plane.

Gardai confirmed they were called to the scene of an incident at Dublin Airport.

The man was taken to Ballymun Garda Station for questioning.
