Humourless police crash tackle grizzly bear

Heavy handed police in Finland have proven they have no sense of humour by crash-tackling a man dressed as a grizzly bear during a prank in downtown Helsinki.

In the wake of a recent bear attack the prankster donned a spectacularly life-like costume and terrorised pedestrians while a hidden camera filmed their hilarious reactions.

Eventually, the video shows a police officer slowly edging along an icy footpath where the 'bear' is sitting next to cars.

"There is some guy in a bear costume. Actually it looks pretty real," the officer says into his radio as he crunches carefully across the snow.

The officer yells at the man in the bear suit and throws a snowball at him before he jumps up in a very human-like motion to try and scare the cop away.

But the funnyman's cover is blown and instead of letting him continue his fun, the officer starts sprinting down the street and jumps on the man's back, wrangling him roughly to the ground.

The video has been uploaded online by notorious jokester Roman Atwood, who last year had a prank backfire on him when he hid a camera in his bedroom and lied to his girlfriend that he had cheated on her.

Unfortunately for Atwood, his girlfriend had seen him hiding the camera and reacted by telling him she had done the same, creating a "pranking the prankster" video that has been watched by hundreds of millions of people.
