Man's nose thwarts suicide attempt

A Frenchman has miraculously survived a suicide attempt after a bullet he fired into his head became lodged in his nose.
The 47-year-old shot himself under the chin in a suicide bid in the tiny village of Capelle-lès-Hesdin
But instead of doing any serious damage - the bullet got caught in his nose.

Apart from a little blood the man was perfectly fine and even managed to drive himself to hospital.
