Fare-dodger gets stuck trying to escape through bus window

A fare-dodging commuter has been left dangling a metre above the ground after a ticket inspector grabbed hold of her bag as she tried to escape through a bus window.

A bystander filmed the cheeky woman as her legs helplessly flail from the side of the coach in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

She had tried to escape an on-the-spot fine but the ticket inspector was not having a bar of it, Daily Mail reports.

After a full minute of tug-of-war with the man inside the bus, she eventually relinquishes her bag in order to squeeze out of the window and slide down to the road.

Having made a less-than hasty retreat, she casually struts away like nothing happened.

The transport company has accused the woman of fare-dodging and she has fired back with claims of false imprisonment.

Police are investigating the incident.
