Graffiti artist Banksy has unveiled a vast new artwork appearing to make a statement against Brexit at the United Kingdom’s European gateway town of Dover.
The mural, which appeared on Saturday, shows a man chopping away at one of the gold stars on the European flag.

Banksy confirmed the artwork was his by posting two pictures of it on his Instagram overnight.
The post is captioned simply as “Dover, England” and has no further comment about the artwork’s meaning, but many have interpreted it as a statement against Brexit.
