UFC champion breaks world record for drinking lemon juice

A UFC fighter has proved he is a man of many talents, beating the Guinness World Record for drinking a litre of lemon juice through a straw.

Dennis "The Menace" Bermudez was left seething after his first attempt to break the record was ruled invalid as he yelled "done" pre-emptively.

On his second attempt, the UFC fighter smashed the record, downing the acidic juice in just 22.75 seconds.

This beats the previous mark of 24.41 seconds by more than a full second.

29-year-old Bermudez is ranked eighth in the UFC featherweight competition.

He last fought at UFC Fight Night 83 in February where he defeated Tatsuya Kawajiri.
