Truck flips and dangles upside down over tunnel

It's amazing that no one was killed – and when you watch the video you'll understand why.

An Israeli truck driver crashed his rig down a mountain on Monday, leaving the cabin dangling upside down above the entrance to a tunnel.

The terrified and bloodied driver was forced to wait in the upturned cabin until help came.

And video of the event shows that he spent some of that time chatting on his mobile phone.

Finally, a troupe of firefighters arrived and plucked the dazed looking driver to safety.

Fire and rescue officer Pine Avrahami told MSN Israel that when they arrived the truck was "hanging by a thread".

"The job was hard and complicated … but we were able to extract the driver and take him to hospital".

Amazingly, the driver escaped with only minor injuries.
