Truck carrying fireworks explodes in China

Drivers on a highway in China found themselves in the middle of an unexpected fireworks display after a truck carrying the volatile explosives crashed and caught fire, The Telegraph reports.

The truck was packed with 5kg of fireworks when the accident occurred on a highway in Zhejiang Province.

Thankfully the driver and passenger managed to escape before the blaze spread to the fireworks.

Emergency services were called and fire crews were forced to tackle the fire as multi-coloured rockets blasted into the air.

The fire was eventually put out.
