Head-kick selfie star could make $250k

The Canadian tourist who filmed himself being kicked in the head by a train conductor stands to earn a substantial windfall from the experience.

Jared Frank, of Regina in the province of Saskatchewan, quickly rose to internet fame after posting the video on YouTube last week.

Mr Frank said he was trying to take a selfie while a train passed a "safe" distance behind him in Peru.

But instead, he captured the unlikely moment a man perched on the front of the locomotive delivered a boot to his head.

The nine-second video, which has attracted more than 22 million views worldwide, soon drew the attention of management agencies keen to capitalise off the 22-year-old's viral hit.

"I got all these different offers...and they were all legit," he told CBC News recently, adding it would be a great way to pay for his trip to South America.

Yesterday Mr Frank confirmed he is working with California-based company Jukin Media to earn revenues from the clip.

He now stands to earn $2 to $16 per 1000 views to the sum of $30,000 to $250,000, with the potential for additional profit from licensing agreements.
