Tornado sends boards flying at Bali surfers

A surfer on a Balinese beach came with inches of being wiped out when a tornado struck — and he wasn't even in the water.
Denpasar beachgoers cowered in fear as gale force winds sent surfboards and chairs flying across the shore towards them, a video shot on a GoPro camera last Saturday shows.
One man was lucky to avoid serious injury when a board tossed around by the winds narrowly missed his head.

It is not known which beach the footage was filmed at but local news website Republika Online reports the tornado struck several Denpasar districts.
Wild winds knocked down at least 25 concrete pillars, felled trees and cut power to a number of villages.
