Tony Blair gives an early Christmas shock

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has given tweeters an early Christmas present.

Blair has been widely ridiculed on the social media platform after he shared an awkward and bizarre annual Christmas card.

In the photo the 61-year-old is seen with an unsettling smile with his wife Cherie, who is leaning against him.

Blair’s toothy grin and empty gaze has hit the internet hard as Twitter users were quick to poke fun at the pair.

Some likened Blair to Friends character Chandler Bing who famously struggled to smile, while others have gone for the villainous Demon Headmaster from the Nineties television show of the same name.

The odd image had some people questioning its authenticity but a spokesman from Mr Blair’s office confirmed it was real, The Independent reports.
