Three actors were killed in a dangerous stunt on the set of the Twilight Zone movie on July 23, 1982.

Vic Morrow and child actors Myca Dinh Le and Renee Shin-Yi Chen were killed when a helicopter crashed into them on set in a special effects malfunction.

Vanessa Williams was forced to resign as Miss America on July 23, 1984, after nude photos of her were published in Penthouse magazine.

The photos were taken before she had entered the pageant and were published without her consent.
