Thieves ram Red Bull factory, steal trophies

Six thieves have gone to extraordinary lengths to steal dozens of Formula One trophies, using a 4WD to crash into a Red Bull factory in the UK.

Footage of the December 6 robbery in Buckinghamshire, England, shows the thieves reversing their car into the glass entrance to the factory.

They then make off with 60 trophies, 20 of which were later found at the bottom of a nearby lake.

Security footage shows one of the bandits hoist a trophy into the air triumphantly while one of his accomplices throws one to the ground.

Red Bull's team principle Christian Horner said it was a "pointless crime" as the trophies had very little monetary value.

"But the emotional value is huge and it would be great to see those trophies back in their rightful home here in Milton Keynes."

Police are still searching for the culprits and are appealing for anyone with information relating to the crime to come forward.
