The hair salon teaching dads to braid their daughters’ hair

A hair salon in Manhattan has given fathers the chance to bond with their daughters by learning to braid and style their hair.

Cozy’s Cuts salon, owned by Cozy Friedman, has started holding classes called ‘Dad Braiding 101’ to help fathers and daughters spend time together.

“I think the fact that dads have a way to bond with their girls is amazing," Ms Friedman told US TODAY.

"A lot of times they don't have as many things in common as a mum and a daughter or a dad and a son."

Braiding student and father-of-three Craig Axelrod said deciding to do the class was a no-brainer.

"When I saw we had the opportunity to take this class, spend time together and learn, it's a win-win for me," he said.
