Woman's friend lets home invaders into house

Held in a chokehold and struggling to breathe, the woman watches on wide-eyed as a stranger robs her home.

The victim, Katie O'Connor, barely moves, fear etched across her face for the duration of the ordeal captured on a hidden camera in Overland Park, Kansas last Tuesday.

One of the men, both of whom she has never met before, works quickly to clean out the apartment.

Behind her a third person, the woman Ms O'Connor accuses of orchestrating the robbery, is seen pacing nervously.

Then it's over almost as soon as it started, as the trio flees with cash, tools and a safe in tow.

Ms O'Connor believes she was set up by the woman after telling her she was trying to sell some tools left behind by a former boyfriend.

"I told her I was trying to sell them, and she was like, 'Oh I might know a couple of guys looking to open their own business," the victim told KCTV 5 News.

"I thought it was on a personal level though, I though she just wanted to be my friend."

Police have released the footage in a bid to track the brazen thieves down.
