Subway pulls 'sexist' ad after backlash
Fast food chain Subway has pulled its Halloween ad from its official YouTube channel after it was branded "sexist".
The US purveyors of lengthy sandwiches produced an ad that encouraged women to eat Subway sandwiches in order to look good in "sexy" Halloween costumes.
They encountered an online backlash, with internet users branding them "sexist" "misogynistic" and "sizeist".

The spot features a woman who consumes the company's sandwiches because she wants to fit into "all the costumes" for Halloween, like "sexy nurse" "spicy Red Riding Hood" and sexy permutations of schoolteacher and football player.
Jezebel called the ad "obviously sexist […] and also stupid and lazy," and the Huffington Post remarked that "just as every body is a bikini body, every body is a Halloween body," before it was pulled.
It remains on YouTube on other channels. The company is yet to make a statement.
