Student gets stuck in bin on rubbish night out
An English student's boozy night out got messy when the young man became trapped inside a small bin and had to be freed by firefighters.
Robin Niven was walking home after a night out with friend in Manchester when he spotted a park bin with its front hatch open and decided to climb in, Metro reports.
His housemates then kicked the bin shut, trapping Mr Niven inside.
After trying unsuccessfully to free him the University of Manchester student the group called firefighters who arrived to see Mr Niven poking his head out of an opening in the bin and shaking the hands of passers-by.
As the students leg began to cramp he pleads "you can't laugh at me" before his mates assure onlookers that they can.
"This will be the best video ever on Facebook," Mr Niven's friend Jack says as he films his mate's rubbish night.
After around two minutes on the scene the firemen prise the bin open with a tool freeing Mr Niven who raises his arms triumphantly as he steps out to freedom.
The young man then hugs his rescuers as he stretches his numb legs.
