Mother rabbit turns tables on snake in savage life-and-death battle

A mother rabbit has defended her young, setting upon their snake attacker in a flurry of fierce attacks.

Footage of the battle, believed to have been filmed somewhere in the US and posted to YouTube by user Ramakanth p on June 18, has already reached more than 3,340,000 views.

It shows the rabbit leaping on the snake, biting, rolling, kicking and somersaulting in a triumphant counterattack.

The snake, realising the odds are against it, quickly tries to flee, only to be pursued by its former quarry.

Of the two kittens formerly captured by the snake, only one appears to have survived.

The rabbit’s defence of its young has drawn the praise of countless YouTubers.

“The most badass bunny I have ever seen,” user SilentMover95 said.

“Snake got his tail WHUPPED!” user Alex Hernandez said.​
