This is the moment brazen thieves in the UK smashed a stolen car through an Aldi store in a bid to steal an ATM machine.

The ram raiders can be seen reversing the stolen Land Rover into the front entrance of the supermarket in Chatteris in London’s northeast at 3.50am on Monday.

They were trying to get to the ATM inside when the vehicle became stuck, Cambs Times reports.

But they eventually manage to free the vehicle and reverse into the store for a second time before dragging the cash machine through the shattered doors.

The group of about four men fled the scene in what is believed to be a dark-coloured Volkswagen Golf.

“I’d appeal to anyone who has information about this incident to get in touch as a matter of urgency,” Cambridgeshire Police Detective Sergeant Mark Plitsch told the newspaper.

“In addition to tracing the Volkswagen Golf, we would like to speak to the driver of a light-coloured hatchback seen to be circling the A141 Slade End roundabout at the time of the offence to eliminate them from our enquiries. We have a partial registration plate of SR16.

“Overnight patrols have been stepped up in the area and at other vulnerable locations. We ask that people remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity around cash machine locations.”
