Snake ‘catches’ large catfish from US lake

A kayaker has filmed the bizarre moment a snake dragged a catfish out of a lake in the US. 

Jason Dickerson was paddling on Falls Lake, in North Carolina, when he noticed a snake swimming through the water and then struggling on a rock. 

“That sucker’s got a huge fish – good God!” Mr Dickerson says in the video. 

“I’m sitting here fishing… and the thing just swims right by me,” he explains. 

The snake can be seen struggling to pull the catfish out of the water and onto a rock. 

Mr Dickerson shared the rare sight on Youtube on Tuesday, and the video has since received more than 130,000 views.
