Hungry rescue bears chase food delivery truck

A pack of sloth bears has been captured lolloping after their dinner truck in India.

The video was captured by Dr Arun Sha, the chief vet at the International Animal Rescue, an Indian sanctuary that cares for rescued dancing bears.

The footage has gathered 442 shares and more than 45,000 views in four days.

The practice of keeping dancing bears was banned in 1972, but continued on the streets of India for the next four decades.

In 2009, Raju, the final dancing bear was set free and now lives in the sanctuary.

“It is an amazing sight to see these bears running excited and free towards some yummy treats,” the International Animal Rescue said on Facebook. 

“Long gone are their days spent at the end of a rope being forced to perform.”
