Shopper finds human skull in op shop Halloween display
A shopper perusing the Halloween section of a charity shop in Florida got a spooky surprise recently when he noticed a human skull up for sale.
The customer, who happened to be an anthropologist, immediately recognised the skull as being human, the Lee County Sheriff's Office said in a post on social media.
Detectives called to the opportunity shop in North Fort Myers and also observed that the skull appeared to be human.

The store owner said the skull was located in a storage unit that was purchased several years ago.
"The Lee County Sheriff's Office will work in conjunction with the District 21 Medical Examiner's Office to facilitate further testing of the skull," the sheriff's office said.
This case is not being considered suspicious by the police.
Local Florida law prohibits the sale of any human parts, including skulls.
While unusual, this case is surprisingly not unique. Just last month, another human skull was found at an opportunity shop in Arizona. The skull was also not believed to have been linked to any crime.
