Sewerage pipe explodes, covers car in excrement

A Russian driver has had the worst day imaginable after a sewerage pipe exploded sending a fountain of excrement raining down on their car.

The pipe ruptured on a busy highway in St Petersburg, according to Russian TV network Zvezda.

Dashcam footage posted online last week shows the car travelling uneventfully down the highway until the sewerage pipe, buried under the median strip, suddenly erupts and blasts a stream of putrid water into the air.

The car’s windscreen was smashed by chunks of asphalt mixed amongst the sewage.

Although disgusting, no-one was hurt as a result of the accident, Zvezda reports.

The mishap follows, also in Russia, a similarly vile explosion of a sewerage truck that was sitting in traffic earlier this month.
