Severe Russian weather spins a massive passenger jet around on a runway

A 31,000kg Boeing 373 has been spun around like a child's toy as powerful winds lashed the Russian city of Norilsk.

The spectacular sight was filmed by airport ground staff who watched on and as the massive aircraft was buffeted through an almost 360 degree revolution before grinding to a halt.

Weather conditions grew so bad at the airport, located above the Arctic Circle, that all flights were cancelled, forcing incoming aircraft to divert.

The severe weather comes only days after a massive roof was ripped off an apartment building in the same region, killing an occupant and injuring three others.
