Scooter rider falls into open manhole

This scooter crash would have been bad enough but for an impeccably placed open man hole.

Footage of the Taiwanese accident captured on police dash cam shows the hapless rider fall into a sewer beneath the road after clipping a car.

The rider falls off his bike after striking the turning police car in a bid to dash up the outside.

He somehow manages to pull off a perfectly-timed forward roll straight into the sewer as a stunned worker looked on.

The incident was captured on a rural road in Taiwan and uploaded to YouTube over the weekend.

The rider suffered only minor injuries, according to reports.
