Sheriff's rug has ungodly typo

A spelling error on a rug at the front entrance of a County Sheriff's office in Florida went unnoticed for weeks.

The image of a sheriff's badge on the rug was supposed to say "In God We Trust".

Instead it said "In Dog We Trust".

When a sheriff's deputy noticed the typo, the rug was rolled up and removed.

The mistake was made by the manufacturer, American Floor Mats, who have agreed to replace the $500 rug.

WFTS-TV reported that it was one of two rugs delivered to the department. The second rug had "God" spelled correctly.
