Rogue tyre causes chaos in Turkish pharmacy

A rogue tyre has flown off a car, bounced through an open shop door and struck a man in the face. 

The man was seated with friends inside a pharmacy in Turkey when a wheel sprung through the door, hit a desk and ricocheted into him on Friday.

Security cameras on the street captured the wheel falling from the rear of a moving car and rolling toward the footpath.

The tyre almost comically bounced off a stationary bike before heading straight for the open door after travelling at least 30 metres.

Three other men rush out from the back of the store once they hear the collision, with the group standing around and looking dumbfounded as to where the wheel had come from.

"We were waiting for patients. A wheel came instead. We're shocked," pharmacy owner Abdulkadir Erdeve told the Daily Sabah.

Two men were hit but neither was seriously injured.

The tyre had picked up momentum by the time it entered the shop and would have likely caused more severe injuries if it impacted with a person before the desk.
