Riders left hanging upside down when Booster fails

You can line up for hours for a theme park ride and it's over in a minute.

That was definitely not the experience of seven Dutch fairgoers who were left stranded upside down and high above the ground for 45 minutes when a ride they were on failed.

The 'Booster' riders were left hanging at the spring fair in Didam, in the Netherlands Gelderlan province yesterday, De Gelderlander reports.

After almost an hour suspended above the fairground the riders were brought back down to earth to be greeted by applauding onlookers.

No one was injured but one rider was reportedly left feeling "unwell".

The Booster is currently out of use.
