Rare lunar rainbow captured in England

A spectacular lunar rainbow has been photographed during a lightning storm in Yorkshire, in northern England.
Local man Ben Gwynn captured the stunning vista yesterday above verdant moors in the town of Skipton, Yorkshire, BBC News reported.
"Moonbows" occur when moonlight, instead of sunlight, is refracted by moisture in the atmosphere.
"I'd never seen one before and getting to photograph it was amazing," Mr Gwynn told BBC.
Yesterday’s event was triggered after a giant moon, also known as Hunter’s Moon, illuminated the night skies of the United Kingdom.
A trio of "supermoons" are expected to rise over the country in the next month, according to the National Geographic.
