Prop planes make dicey landings in crazy UK crosswinds

Hair-raising video of planes attempting to land in hectic crosswinds at Birmingham airport has been posted online.
The video, published Monday, shows Dash-8 and ATR twin-propeller aircraft yawing sickeningly as they descend towards a runway that looks like it might test a pilot’s skill at the best of times.
Wind gusts at that airport have been known to reach speeds of 65km/h.

Several of the planes fail to land on the first attempt and seem to drift weightlessly back up into the air before trying again to touch down.
Let’s hope the passengers skipped the in-flight meal.
