An inspiring teenage girl with a genetic condition is refusing to let it stop her from living her life, and has taken the internet by storm promoting body positivity to young women.

Isa-Bella Leclair was born with Parkes Weber Syndrome, a disorder that comes with the side effect lymphedema that causes her right leg to swell.

Last month, Isa-Bella posted a photo of her in a bikini to a lymphedema blog called The Lymphie Life that has since gone viral online.

"My condition doesn't define me and there's no way I would let it stop me from wearing a cute swimsuit or a cute dress," she wrote.

“For me, beauty isn’t just on the outside. When I say someone is beautiful I see someone who makes you feel good when you’re around them,” she later told The Telegraph.

The inspirational Canadian has also won a beauty pageant.

She is undergoing therapy at the moment to drain the excess fluid from her leg back to her body and she’s already lost 6cm in three weeks.

The condition impacts the 19-year-old from being active but she told the blog she refuses to let that hold her back.

“It’s always been difficult being active because of my heart problems but I’ve found some alternatives that don’t push my limits. When I was in 3rd grade, I discovered what is now my favourite sport: snowboarding!”
