A Turkish police officer has been caught taking a selfie as a man prepared to jump to his death from a bridge.
The unidentified officer could face criminal charges after he was sprung posing for the snapshot seconds before the distressed victim plummeted 180m to his death in the Turkish capital of Ankara.

A lesser punishment could see him earn the title "world's most selfish selfie", trumping a mystery female predecessor who in 2013 snapped a photo in front of a man about to jump off New York's Brooklyn Bridge.
Other contenders include US President Barack Obama's funeral faux pas – snapping a selfie with Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt and British PM David Cameron during Nelson Mandela’s memorial service last year.
