Dedicated pizza delivery rider braves G20 protests in Hamburg

A pizza delivery rider in central Hamburg rode his moped through crowds of G20 protesters as the city became engulfed in violent protests.

Video of the dedicated pizza chain worker has been posted on Twitter and begins showing him winding his way through ranks of helmeted riot police last night.

Onlookers gazed in amazement at the brave Domino's delivery man, with many filming and photographing him on their mobile phones.

Other people attending the mass demonstrations against the G20 leaders meeting in the German city clapped him as the rider slowly rode past.

He appeared unconcerned about the increasingly violent protests that were taking part around the city centre.

Up to 100,000 anti-capitalist protesters from all over Europe flocked to the city for the demonstration.

One Twitter user Christian@dubfurter praised him for his dedication to duty: "That's dedication! Give that man a medal!"

Seventy-six police officers have been injured in clashes with demonstrators and three officers required hospital treatment.

There were also reports of injuries among protesters.
