Russian pedestrian sent cartwheeling by reckless rider

A Russian pedestrian was lucky to hobble away after she was sent cartwheeling by a motorcyclist who failed to stop at a pedestrian crossing earlier this week.

Dashcam shows the 22-year-old woman strolling across the zebra stripes outside Victory Palace in Zlatoust, in the country's southwest, on what looks to be a fine Monday afternoon.

But as the woman crosses she makes an unfortunate split-second choice.

Prompted by a warning horn-blast from one of the waiting drivers, the woman takes two or three rapid strides to try and beat the motorbike roaring down the middle of the bitumen, but ends up directly in its path.

The bike smashes into her legs as if they were skittles, flipping the woman over so violently that she lands on the other cheek, as it were, while the rider skids a good 10 metres down the road on his hip.

But just as you think the blood is about to start pooling, the woman gets up and limps back to the footpath, where she pauses a moment to pat at her head before she begins marching angrily towards to rider…

According to Kialim, police are yet to speak with the motorcyclist.
