Horrified staff flee charging ox in hospital
Staff at a Rio de Janeiro hospital were sent running for their lives when an unlikely patient let itself in.
CCTV footage of the March incident shows an ox running through the halls of Hospital Francisco Limongi in Trajano de Moraes, frightening the staff on duty.
In the video, crowned best clip in a Portuguese social media competition on Monday, desperate workers appear in a state of shock as they try to escape the charging animal.
Police were called in to capture the ox, which is believed to have become agitated when unable to find its way out of the hospital.
No one was injured and only a few doors were damaged in the incident, according to local reports.
A large number of ox roam Trajano de Moraes, a rural mountainous region of Rio.
A lack of fencing and adequate security on the door was blamed for the unwelcome intrusion.
